Grants As a foundation with a special focus, we do not accept any unsolicited grant applications. Our light and love are with you and your endeavors as we all work together to uplift humanity, and aspects and inhabitants of the earth.
Special Projects When you designate a donation for any of our project partners specifically, 100% of your donation goes directly to the project (from Global LightWorks - our vendors, like PayPal, may deduct small processing fees). Global LightWorks is pleased to highlight the work of some of our Umtha ("Ray of Light") project partners: - Mercy Without Borders -Southern Sudan and Haiti
Mercy Beyond Borders invests in women and girls, not bricks and mortar. Why? Because research has proven that the single most powerful tool for lifting families up from destitution is the education of females. In Haiti and in South Sudan we are partnering with women and girls in 3 ways to alleviate extreme poverty: A Glimmer of Hope, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (www.aglimmerofhope.org) is pioneering a new way of creating and providing aid in one of the world's poorest countries. They match social entrepreneurs with social investors to create a new level of social capital. The GOSSACE AIDS Orphanage, Golomola Village, Ugandagossace.cfsites.org)Founded in 1995 by 12 HIV-positive folks who found themselves caring for their deceased relatives' children. In light of the maize shortage and related problems, donations are particularly encouraged to GOSSACE now. MESSA Education Center (MEC), Mwanza, Tanzania(messa.cfsites.org) is an up and coming school for about 150 children, including 18 AIDS orphans. They range from 3-12 years old and rely heavily on volunteers and outside resources. Thembalethu Home Based Care (www.thembalethu.org) provides home-based care to people dying of AIDS at the South Africa-Swazi-Mozambique borders, and also cares for their children. Founder Sally McKibbin has worked in this region for 15 years and has an MBE for her work with refugees. We have also been privileged to be chosen as the recipient of two memorial funds. We are currently holding: The Stephen A. Newcomb Fund for Spiritual Education and Music is a designated fund for remembering a beloved family member and friend.
